A different working mom
Posted on November 20, 2013
Working from home has allowed me to live my motherhood differently. During my pregnancy I was able to work comfortably at home taking care of my diet, my body and my mind. No stress! No traffic! No conventional office job! Today, I share part of my time with my one-year-old baby, Agatha, and she is grateful for that. I can read it on her radiant eyes and toothless frequent smiles.
My day starts with a natural wake-up call: my baby’s cry for food. After spending some time attending Agatha’s needs, I take the time to prepare a juicy and healthy breakfast. Afterwards, I can set all my work tools and start also my working day. I can organize myself with flexibility without leaving apart my responsibility and discipline, being able to work online and attend my local clients as a virtual assistant. I take breaks when necessary to play with Agatha, to feed her, talk to her, chant to her and why not, have a yoga session or another with her. Not only will this give me the opportunity to be with her, but to feel energized and more productive.
I can do this thanks to being able to work from home, so that I can stop at any time and continue once my baby is resting, with his father o simply discovering the world by herself. What I always dreamt of: total freedom to actively participate in my baby’s development and education. It is priceless. Thank you World!
