Let me go slowly! (¡Permíteme ir despacio!)

Slow as a snail
The digital omnipresence is dragging us out of our real lives. Think about this: when was the last time that you called someone to say “happy birthday” –instead of sending a whatsapp or a message in facebook-?, when was the last time that you wrote on a paper –felt the texture of the paper and the smoothness of your pen rolling on it-?, when was the last time that you looked directly into someone’s eyes and consciously listened to him or her –instead of letting your mind go away with the many things that you should be doing in the next hour-? Ah! and when was the last time that you simply took your time to do something?
For God’s sake! Is everybody actually on a rush for everything? To be honest, I don’t want to deliver my work as soon as possible. Please, be more creative! In deed, my philosophy is to commit myself only to jobs that I know I enjoy. Let me enjoy my work and let you enjoy optimal results.
“Technostress” is not only invading our work lives –spending hours in front of a computer clicking and typing as fast as possible to deliver endless work with impossible delivery dates-, but also our private lives –spending the rest of the hours at home sending tweets, using social networks, playing games on our phones…

The inner room
It is a matter of choices. The key resides on an accurate judgment about when to run, when and how to manage certain degree of stress –if circumstances urge- and when to stop and enjoy a long-time present.
Spend time in the nature and connect with its rhythm, its shapes, its essence…Take your time to cook a meal. Take refuge in a contemplative moment. Take your time to hug a loved one and feel the eternal present.
Got something to say?
